Governor Agbu Kefas has inspected facilities at the Taraba State Broadcasting Service (TSBS) and Taraba Television Corporation (TTV), pledging to rehabilitate and transform the state-owned media organisations for improved service delivery.
Gov Agbu Kefas made separate visits to the two stations on Wednesday, where he toured various departments and assessed their infrastructure, equipment and working environment.
The Governor said his administration was committed to upgrading the facilities of TSBS and TTV to the required standard and strengthening their capacity to provide quality and effective public service.
He commended the management and staff of both organisations for their dedication and resilience, noting that they had continued to keep the stations operational despite the challenges confronting them.
During the visits, Gov Agbu Kefas also went on air at both TSBS and TTV, where he spoke on the achievements of his administration in key sectors, including security, education and other areas of development.
He emphasised the important role of state-owned media in informing, educating and connecting government with the people, stressing that improved facilities and a motivated workforce would enhance the organisations’ effectiveness.
The inspection, according to the Governor, was part of his administration’s broader commitment to rehabilitating and repositioning the state’s media institutions for greater impact.
